Welcome to Mialight: Calm & Confidence. By downloading or using the Mialight: Calm & Confidence mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Medical Disclaimer (Not Professional Advice)
Mialight: Calm & Confidence is not a medical device or a healthcare provider.
For Informational Purposes Only: The content provided is for inspirational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
No Doctor-Patient Relationship: Use of Mialight: Calm & Confidence does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship.
Seek Professional Help: Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you read or heard in Mialight: Calm & Confidence. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services (e.g., 911 in the U.S.) immediately.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Mialight: Calm & Confidence offers premium features via auto-renewable subscriptions.
Apple's Role: All purchases, payments, and subscriptions are processed and managed exclusively by Apple via the App Store.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation & Refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. All refund requests must be directed to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
3. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Content
Ownership: The Mialight: Calm & Confidence name, logo, UI design are the property of Mialight LLC.
Third-Party Media: Certain audio and visual assets are used under royalty-free licenses from third-party platforms. These assets are for your personal use within the app only and may not be extracted, redistributed, or resold.
Content sources: Some images and audio used in Mialight: Calm & Confidence are sourced from royalty-free platforms such as Pixabay and are used under their respective licenses, which permit commercial use. Those assets remain the property of their respective creators.
Copyright concerns: If you believe any content in Mialight: Calm & Confidence infringes your copyright, please contact me at hello@mialightstudio.com with a description of the work, where it appears in the app, and your contact details. I will promptly review the request and remove the content if necessary.
Product analytics: I may use third-party product analytics to improve the app, as explained in Mialight's Privacy Policy. I do not sell your data or show third-party ads inside Mialight: Calm & Confidence.
Advertising measurement (TikTok): Mialight: Calm & Confidence uses TikTok's measurement tools to understand and improve my advertising on TikTok. These tools may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and app events such as installs, opens, subscription and purchase history (including product and price). Your personal content—such as journal entries, affirmations, and photos—is never sent. Your device's advertising identifier is only read if you grant permission in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Details are in Mialight's Privacy Policy.
4. User Content and Privacy
Your Data: Content you create—such as cosmic echo notes, boundary notes, mood check-ins, highlight journal entries may be stored on your device and, where the app uses Apple's private CloudKit or iCloud Key-Value storage, under your Apple ID as described in Mialight's Privacy Policy. I do not host those private entries on Mialight's servers.
Optional device features: Some tools may request access to the camera, photo library, device motion, local notifications, or background audio only to provide the feature you chose; see the Privacy Policy for how each is used.
Magnet tool unlock: Certain tools may ask you to verify with your device passcode or biometrics before opening. That verification is performed by iOS and is not sent to Mialight LLC.
Your Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID / iCloud settings.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mialight: Calm & Confidence and Mialight LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app or your reliance on any information provided within the app.
6. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence.
7. Apple Standard EULA
Your use of Mialight: Calm & Confidence is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to apps obtained through the App Store.
