Privacy Policy

At Mialight: Calm & Confidence, I believe that your thoughts, manifestations, and healing journey are deeply personal. My mission is to provide you with powerful tools for growth while ensuring your privacy remains absolute. My business model is built on providing value through the app's features, not by monetizing your data.

1. No Server-Side Storage

Mialight: Calm & Confidence is built with a privacy-first architecture. Most of your content stays on your device in the app's sandbox. Some features may also sync through Apple services—private CloudKit and/or iCloud Key-Value storage tied to your Apple ID—so things can stay consistent across your devices. Lock screen widgets read short text and summary counts from an on-device App Group container shared only with the Mialight: Calm & Confidence widget extension. Mialight LLC does not host your private journals, grids, or similar entries on its own servers, and I do not have access to read them.

Optional device features: Some tools may use the camera, photo library, device motion, local notifications, or background audio only to provide the feature you chose. Processing happens on your device; permissions are optional except where a feature requires them.

2. Information I Collect

Mialight: Calm & Confidence does not collect your name, email address, or phone number through the app. There is no in-app account, sign-up form, or contact mechanism inside Mialight: Calm & Confidence itself that transmits those details to Mialight LLC.

Website sign-ups: Mialight's website may invite you to voluntarily provide your email address—for example, to join a product waitlist or receive news about new releases. Providing your email is always optional. I will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Email Communications

If you have shared your email address with me through Mialight's website, I may occasionally send you messages about product updates, new features, or upcoming releases. Each email includes a one-click unsubscribe link so you can opt out at any time. I do not send promotional emails to people who have not explicitly signed up.

4. Analytics, Diagnostics & Product Improvement

I may use a third-party product analytics service to understand how the app is used (for example which features are opened and general navigation). I do not sell your data for money. I also use an advertising measurement SDK, described below.

What may be shared with the analytics provider: The provider's SDK can send event names, coarse interaction metadata, and technical context such as app version, OS version, and device model. Identifiers are typically pseudonymous (for example a random distinct id on device). Exact contents depend on how I configure the service.

What I aim not to send: I configure analytics so that private journal text, full affirmations you write, manifest grids, cosmic echo messages, mood note bodies, photos, and other sensitive user content are not intentionally transmitted to the analytics provider.

Analytics provider & your rights: Processing is subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy. Depending on region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data they hold, as described in their documentation.

Advertising measurement (TikTok): The app includes the TikTok Business SDK, provided by TikTok, to measure and improve my advertising campaigns. Depending on your choices, it may collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, device and app information (such as device model, OS version, and app version), app events such as installs, launches, and subscription starts or purchases (including product and price information from App Store purchases), and related timestamps. TikTok uses this to attribute installs and purchases to my ads and to help show my ads to people likely to be interested. I do not send your journal entries, affirmations, photos, or other personal content. This processing is subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy.

Advertising measurement (Meta): The app includes Meta's App Events SDK, provided by Meta, to measure and improve my advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Depending on your choices, it may collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, device and app information (such as device model, OS version, and app version), and app events such as installs, launches, and subscription starts or purchases. Subscription events are reported to Meta on the app's behalf by RevenueCat, my subscription management provider. If you have not allowed tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, the SDK does not collect your IDFA and relies instead on the limited, officially supported matching methods Meta provides (such as an anonymous app-scoped identifier). I do not send your journal entries, affirmations, photos, or other personal content to Meta. A "Client Token" used by the SDK is a public, client-side configuration value — it is not the App Secret and does not grant access to your data. This processing is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.

App Tracking Transparency & your choices: I only access your IDFA or track you across other companies' apps and websites if you allow it through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, limited, non-identifying measurement may still occur as permitted by Apple. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to opt out of "sharing" or "targeted advertising," or to request access to or deletion of your data — contact me at hello@mialightstudio.com.

Apple-provided metrics: Separately, Apple may share aggregated developer metrics (for example App Store analytics or crash reports you opt into in App Store Connect) under Apple's developer and privacy terms. That processing is between you and Apple.

5. Apple Services & Payments

As an iOS application, certain services are handled by Apple:

iCloud: Where the app uses CloudKit or iCloud Key-Value storage, syncing is tied to your Apple ID and Apple's Privacy Policy. Other data may remain local only, as described above.

Subscriptions & Billing: All transactions are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. I do not collect or store your credit card or billing information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

App Data: Deleting the app removes on-device databases and local preferences. iCloud Key-Value and private CloudKit data tied to your Apple ID can be managed in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud. I cannot delete Cloud or local data from a central "Mialight: Calm & Confidence account" because I do not host your private entries on Mialight's servers.

Email opt-out: If you signed up via Mialight's website, you can unsubscribe from emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every message, or by contacting me directly. Unsubscribing removes you from Mialight's mailing list promptly.

7. Children's Privacy

Mialight: Calm & Confidence is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians can delete the app and manage related iCloud data in Settings if needed.

8. Content Licensing & Copyright

Some images and audio used in Mialight: Calm & Confidence are sourced from royalty-free platforms such as Pixabay and are used under their respective licenses, which permit commercial use. Those assets remain the property of their respective creators.

If you believe any content in Mialight: Calm & Confidence infringes your copyright: please contact me at hello@mialightstudio.com with a description of the work and where it appears in the app. I will promptly review the request and remove the content if necessary.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
